DECOMPRESS - a Restorative Yoga Workshop for Body & Mind
Join us for an afternoon of nourishing stillness, deep rest and recuperation. To ‘decompress’ is to actively let go of the built up tension you may be holding physically, emotionally or mentally. It’s actively answering the call to rest. To unwind. It is the un-doing of built up tension we might have been feeling in our bodies, through achy muscles, tired stiff joints, a reactive nervous system, the feeling of overwhelm. Restorative yoga can answer this call beautifully as it holds you, the practitioner in a space of conscious, deep rest.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will first prepare a ‘nest of props’, including blankets, pillows, bolsters, a warm cup of tea and will begin the afternoon with some soothing breathwork. We will move the body through flowing, floor-based stretches, unravelling tension and softening the body. The second half of the session is centred around restorative stillness, using the support of yoga props for mindful relaxation of body & mind. You will end the afternoon with a candlelit yoga nidra practice for deep rest.
HOW TO BOOK:
Early bird £40 pp (valid until Sunday 28th January)
£45 pp thereafter
To book, please email Living-Yoga@outlook.com for payment details.

THE SENSORY JOURNEY - WORKSHOP
RETREAT FROM THE NOISE OF THE EXTERNAL WORLD & INDULGE IN AN AFTERNOON OF NOURISHING PRACTICES WORKING THROUGH THE REALM OF THE SENSES AS A WAY TO MORE DEEPLY SOFTEN, UNRAVEL TENSION & RESTORE
WHY? Our brains simply aren’t adapted for the constant bombardment of stimuli we receive in modern life. The development of technology and in particular the smart phone - means that we are in a tug of war most days for where we want to place our focus, our attention being highjacked numerous times a day by notifications and alerts. We are under pressure to engage, to respond, to stay alert, to stay plugged-in.
The world can seem noisy and taxing on our senses. Overstimulation can manifest as fatigue, feeling drained and exhausted, burnt out, the urge to cancel social events, brain fog, unable to concentrate, racing overwhelming thoughts. sleep disturbance, agitation, low mood.
WHAT TO EXPECT ? Spend three hours indulging in nourishing practices that will help you to soften the edges. Working to soothe each of the five senses, with gentle movement for touch, candlelit meditation for sight, breathwork with essential oils for smell, sound healing with crystal bowls and koshi chimes for hearing, Cacao, teas and treats for mindful moments spent exploring taste. The senses are the bridge from the external to the internal world and when we soften through our senses it can feel easier to be with ourselves in stillness, in silence as we withdraw into deep peace & relaxation.
Your Investment :
EARLY BIRD OFFER - £40 pp Until 31st August
£45 pp thereafter

With unprecedented access, WALK WITH ME goes deep inside a Zen Buddhist community who have given up all their possessions and signed up to a life of chastity for one common purpose – to transform their suffering, and practice the art of mindfulness with the world-famous teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.
